Crankcase thread size/part no
I haved searched the latest part no list for the Crankcase bolts and can find no mention at all. I can find a bolt kit listed on the site spares list of 900526 but seems to be nuts and bolts when it's bolts which I require. Also what's the thread size so I can buy a tap. ta

Re: Crankcase thread size/part no
thanks Colin. I have a 5/16 x 22 BSF tap but loath to try it until it's confirmed that this is the correct thread.

Looks like 5/16 BSF
042036 BOLT LONG 3 3/8" x 5/16 BSF............1off
042035 BOLT SHORT 2 5/8" x 5/16 BSF..........6 off
The bolts have reduced head, well the ones I have are.

Cheers Colin very helpful ta. I wish I could find a AJS exploded diagram of the engine with part numbers which it is possible to zoom into your gain the numbers. But all the ones on the net lose quality when you zoom in and are unable to be read.

Briliant, been looking for one that quality for ages thanks. Sorry to new a pain but have you any idea what to torque these bolts up to? and is it good practise to use liquid thread lock?

Yep, I'd use blue non-permanent threadlock on them.
