CSR front brake
Hi all,
Trying to complete the front end of my CSR and this is holding me back.
The small 'U' bracket with pin/nut& bold which goes onto the brake arm and houses the cable.
I've looked everywhere and cannot find anything. Not even sure what it's called.

A clevis & clevis pin I think. Should not be a nut & bolt. The clevis pin should be held by a split pin or R clip. TTFN Jack

What year is your bike?? Is that your bike with the nut & bolt? I agree with the first reply, I am sure it would not be nut & bolt, One it could come loose and you loose your brake. Another question? does the nut & bolt clear the brake plate. My 1966 lightweight CSR has neither nut & bolt or Clevis pin, It has what appears to be a factory fitted rivet holding the U shape part onto the brake lever arm. If a Clevis pin is used, it would need to go in through the inside. Even then the head may foul the brake plate. Unless ground down to a washer thickness head.

My daughters 1965 g2 has a clevis pin in with an R clip to secure
Sorry ignore the above I have just checked the bike and it has a u shape clamp with what looks like a peened over pin through it with a slot for the cable nipple to slide in and locate

The arm seems longer than that on my 1966 G2 CSR, which has very little clearance between the rivet hold the U part in place and the brake drum. Thanks for the responses, no that's not my bike with a nut and bolt. I intended on using a pin & split pin.
This is going on a 250 CSR although no idea what year the thing is though.
Actually as i write this the pictures have just loaded up, my bike came with the same mudguard& bracket that's on shifters bike. I didn't think these were OEM but assuming they came with the bike it must be a late CSR
Any idea what size clevis & pin i need and where from as they seem non existant
This is going on a 250 CSR although no idea what year the thing is though.

I would think the brake arm on my daughters 1965 g2 is original as the cable pulls through in a nice straight line
