g2 oil change

1966 g2 csr,changing engine oil and cleaning filter.i have fibre washers on both drain plugs is this correct ?

Hi ,
As far as I'm aware that is correct as I have fibre washers on both drain plugs on my matchless G2 plus fibre washer on oil filter . Hope that helps.

cheers chris for that although my oil filter has a copper washer.i suppose if it seals its ok to use either ,dave

cheers for both replys lads,there is also a recess at the base of one drain plug,should it have an o ring fitted.

No o ring is fitted. Just a fibre Washer that is a sloppy fit as the thread is wider than the part of the plug where the was washer goes
