Side covers the

Post by ChrisTheChippy »

Hi all
I want to repaint the side covers on the G2 . Can anyone recommend a decent hard-wearing paint that can be bought in small quantities ? I thought about enamel paint as in model making but not sure how heat would affect it . Don't really want to buy a litre of paint for 2 small areas .
Cheers Chris

Hi

Not too sure what the colour range is like but I use Japlac enamel - with a good quality brush it's possible to get a finish that looks as good as a sprayed one.

Yes I use Japlac too. It's available in 250ml tins, I used to get it at B&Q.

Hi
Thanks all for the replies.
Re question about colour ? Bike is red/black so I guess I have the choice of those two colours . Probably be red as the tank and tool boxes are red .
Just to make things clear it's just the two small indents on the side engine covers .

I think you will find 1960 G2 was black, G2CS may have been Red. That's what I see in sales cats.
