An interesting one! Certainly not the original fitment and I agree with Rob that it looks more like a Burman arrangement, doesn't look like early Japanese clutches either. Does the centre fit straight on the mainshaft splines or is there a collar arrangement like the Burman? There's no hub shock absorber and how is the adjustment of the pushrod derived?

The clutch center fits straight on the shaft. Pushrod adjustment via center bolt.

Here are some pics of stardard G2 parts alongside the parts I have.

I thought that, but the inner only has 8 wide splines. Found a pic of a basket that looks like mine but the only info was it 's Burman.

But can't find any center like I have.

You could try Draganfly Motorcycles as they stock Burman stuff. Even if they don't have the parts they may be able to identify what it is.

EURIKA I've found it! The clutch I have is from a 150 Villiers engine. What it's doing in a G2 is anyones guess.

Now do I try and use it, or start hunting for a proper one?

Brilliant, well found!! Clutch centres used to be unavailable for G2s (now rectified, thanks to Club Spares), so there are all sorts of innovative "repairs" around...
