I'm trying to find the part numbers for the correct fork seals and the little chrome fork covers. I've tried looking on the parts site but there's a few different numbers.
This is my first classic bike also so abit unsure of what I'm actually looking for.
My bike is a 1959 AJS Model 14

Here's the factory spares list for your bike. See part numbers and fork exploded diagram on pages 11 and 12............

Re: Fork seals and chrome fork covers
Measure them and then hunt around for stainless ones, far better and rust free no matter how much they may get scuffed during use

Go to the link I gave you in my previous post. Here it is again:Lowen1981 wrote:Is there an actual name for the little chrome covers? I'm struggling to find anything

Then, as I mentioned previously, you look at the exploded drawing and the index to parts on pages 11 and 12 which tells you the names of the parts (in words) and their reference numbers (in numbers). You can then look up the part number in the same book.
Hope that helps.

Re: Fork seals and chrome fork covers
It doesn't give you a number for the part I'm looking for on the exploded diagram and the only thing on the list is the top fork cover which I don't need.

Hi
Have you got the 1960 on type fork assembly?
Have a look at page 62 of the Workshop Manual, items 10 and 12:
