matchless G2 exploded parts diagram

Post by Richard Hyatt »

hello all,
we have just bought this G2 - 1961 I think and would appreciate it if anyone has any exploded diagrams of parts please. I have looked on the internet and found parts books but none seem to show any exploded drawings , which would help me in my assembly and working out what is missing and where things go. Any help please contact Richard.
thank you

Hi Richard,

There is an exploded diagram of the engine/gearbox, but that's pretty much it.
All available data is collected here: http://archives.jampot.dk

Unfortunately, AMC never produced a proper parts book with diagrams for the Lightweights.

Refer to instruction books as well as parts lists where you will see more exploded views etc

search lightweight section on clubs spares for parts with pictures, http://www.amoc-parts.com/store/comersu ... tegory=157
Also search the internet for AJS plus part description, you will discover old e bay listings with pictures. But be aware sellers may be in error of identification. Takes a bit more effort but pictures can be found if you try. Take for example all the parts pictured on club spares, some one put all the effort in providing to help you.
Bit like many questions asked here? That are answered if you search " Tech Tips " on the club website. Again some has put effort in providing this, all you need to do is a bit more leg work yourself to find out what you are looking for. You will often be referred to the Archives, Tech tips can also be helpful.

Probably not wise to post your contact details in the thread. Club members can PM you through this forum.
