Case bolts

Post by OldChuffer »

I need some bolts to attach the left and right cases to the crankcase. (14CSR 1963) - can anyone confirm the type i need? They look to be 1/4in but are they Whitworth, BSF or even 0BA? (or are these the same thing?) I'm confused. Many thanks for any help.

1/4 " or 5/16 " you should be able to discover which. I am sure will be 26 TPI Cycle thread. You should also be able to measure how long. The thread projecting each end needing to take a nut, washer the 2/3 threads poking out from the nut. Perhaps do this by poking something through with a nut and washer hanging on each end to discover the length.

Just not enough time or manpower to get them sourced or re-stocked, especially as the samples were sold yrs ago! :headbang:

Now if any one has the time and got a set for use as samples we'd happily pay to have them supplied and back in stock.
