G2CSR AUto Advance Spring Location

Post by Transfergear »

Just putting the springs/circlips on a '66 CSR and I'm stumped on how they should be fitted. Have a look at the photos. I've fitted one of the springs under the circlip but I can't fit the other as there is not enough clearance. To be honest it doesn't look/feel right. Any advice greatly appreciated. :headbang:

Hi look at my 3 pictures... first of all it goes on the other way round (springs at the back) then each spring is attached one side to the fixed plate and the other side to the moving half plate if that makes sense?
