Timing pinion removal
I am trying to split the crankcase on my G2 project, and cannot work out how to remove the timing pinion, I obviously need a special tool but where can I obtain one, or is there a clever way to remove it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well it's your lucky day as the club have just had manufactured the correct special pulling tool. I'll be delivering them tomorrow. Join the club and you can purchase one, without it there is no easy way of pulling the pinion.

I have joined the club, so it must be my lucky day as when I checked the other day this was not available. Thank you for this information.

I improvised a puller with a 22mm brass pipe fitting and a flat-bladed puller:

If thst is the case then whilst you are logged in under your forum name you will not have access to the full membership forum. You will also not be able to see adverts until at least 3 weeks after they appear in the club magazine. With the lead in time for publication that means they can have been on the web up to 6 weeks before you see them.tiffy George wrote:My membership user name is different than for the forum.
