1965 G2csr

Hi guys... now it may be this hot weather adling my brain but I can't work out how the securing straps fit on the G" gearbox...could someone give me some pointers please...much appreciated

Thanks mate- I think thats cleared it up- the diagram in the workshop manual isn't at all clear- it looks like the strap is bolted directly to the mounting plate...I'll have a look in the morning...

just a thought....what does the other end connect to ?

There's a long stud (016103) that goes through the loops in the gearbox straps.

Make sure you fit the stud to the crankcase before you fit the final drive backplate i.e. not like this picture!
