Hi guys

A bit of help please on refitting the pillion footrests... these are the bits I've got and I just can't see how it all fits together.

The answer is they don't. I have no idea what the hex fitting or the rods are for but nothing to do with pillion rests that's for sure.

Done a bit of digging and I suspect the bike was originally fitted with crash bars. which may explain the extra bits. I cant understand why the flat at the end of the forged bit is in a different orientation on each piece- so how does the rest fit onto these ?....confusing init !

The forged parts called the arms are handed, the one with the welded on boss is the near side and the other is the off side, the other two parts are common so not handed are called the spindles (what the foot rests on) plus the nuts, bolts and rubbers.

Thanks Colin- I'm still a little unsure how the spindle bolt on- shouldn't they pivot ?
