As the long felt filter is un obtainable I'll use the gauze filter I have.
Can anyone tell me what parts I need. The gauze is attached to the cap so no spring? the other end - does it need an o-ring or anything else?
Thanks
Martin

Re: Gauze Oil Filter Assembly
There should be a rubber sealing ring at the base of the filter, however if you wish to use a felt filter then hold on a little longer as we've finally convinced the original makers of the short ones to rectify their fault with the long ones and they should be in soon.

Ooh Good!
This sealing ring then is part No 042846. The spares scheme does not stock it. I presume its an O-ring - does anyone know its dimensions?
