Upon rebuilding the engine of my G2 CSR I have come upon a problem, no surprise.
It was a wreck when purchased, and stripped down with a siezed crank. Now is the time for rebuilding I was missing part no. 042221, Tube, locating crankcase release. Seeing as the club don`t stock this part I purchased one, used, from Tony at AMC Classics.Problem being it won`t fit! It physically won`t fit into the hole. Were there different ones for different years? Tony assures me that he himself took it from the engine so it should be the right one. It looks similar to the picture in the BMS parts list and the exploded diagram I have, but it still doesn`t fit!!! HELP,
Cheers, basketcase.
