AJS/14 - G2 tyre sizes.

I have a 1958 model 14 AJS, the front tyre is 3.00x17 inch, the rear 3.25x17inch. I have just bought a 1959 G2 project, however the wheel rims are the same size, but the front tyre is 3.25x17 inch, the rear 3.50x17 inch, i'm now confused cos i don't know which is the correct size tyre, can anyone please help?

My G2 has 3.25x 17 on front and rear.
