engine rebuild - 250

on the scrounge again, but with the imminent arrival of all my engine cases, head etc back from the aqua blasters, can anybody point me in the direction of a decent engine rebuild article please? i really shouldn't need it, but it's 36 years since i rebuilt my last one and i've lost some grey matter since then. many thanks.
cheers, bb.

Go to Christians archives and look for workshop manuals. The 57-64 is the one you want.

just make sure you get all the blasting element out of every nook and cranny

Because by the time Haynes started printing manuals lightweight AMC bikes were down to about 5 quid each........, on a good day.

everything as clean as a new pin mate. all oilways etc clear. one good thing about water blasting. i must have been robbed in 75 then, because my model 14 csr cost me £60
cheers, bb.
ps, after digesting a bit more on the engine rebuild, off out to the shed to open the wellseal. unfortunately at the aqua blasters the locating pin for the big timing side bush went walkies, so spent half the morning finding one. luckily i've got one.

Ade

As Ken notes aqua blasting still uses an abrasive media, if the cases were mine I would still wash them thoroughly before use.
