i've got 2 chrome torque arms for the teledraulic forks, which don't work for me, so, where on earth does the torque arm go on the james type forks? it obviously can't bolt to the 2 mudguard stay bolts on the forks, because there aren't any. so where does the torque arm go from the brakeplate? i'm stumped, i've looked at dozens of photo's, but can't see any good details. all help most gratefully received.
cheers, bb.

I believe that the James fork setup doesn't us a brake torque arm at all. My gut tells me that the brake plate and left hand fork leg mate like they do on the rear wheel with a lug on the fork sliding between two on the brake plate. I could be wrong but have a look anyway.
There should be a drawing of this somewhere in the workshop manual.

Janet is correct as usual, no torque arm on James forks, brake plate locates in fork leg, can put a photo up if want.

thanks colin, got it now. the screw that holds the bottom of the fork spring in acts as the stop. luckily i found a correct brakeplate buried in the shed and it fits the hub i had refurbed. it all makes sense with pictures
