Silencer problem

Post by greasemonkey62 »

I have a baffle rattling in the silencer, I doubt there could be a cure but you never know, has anyone ever had this problem and sorted it out?

Cheers Ray.

Ray

If you have a press in pepper pot in the end of your down pipe these can sometimes come loose and fall into the silencer and rattle around.

The original front pipes did have but it was welded in the end so unlikely to rattle. I have a pattern front pipe now (no baffle)and silencer and I don't think it that is is baffled either, sounds nice though!!

there was a foot long loose tube in the silencer that just fell out! The exhaust note has always been on the loud side so I bought a correctly sized baffle from e bay and bolted that in, no rattle and just the right exhaust note now.
