G5 gearbox

Post by mogaust »

Hi All
Heres my next problem!!
Having rebushed the entire box and now reassembled it the gears work fine (after about 20 Atempts)
but should the kick start be engaged all the time Have I got that floppy spring in the correct place and what about the thrust washer?
The large engine/ gearbox diagram isnt really clear
Lastly Im in doncaster is there anyone locally to me thats got aG5 that I could look at ?

Did you put enough tension on the spring so there was enough force to pull it back upright before you fixed the cases together?

maybe this will help, but again it is not too detailed
