I am about to fit the front forks but am held up because I'm confused about what little bits go along with/on the lugs.
Does the same chromed steel ring housing (018215) go on/over both the top & the bottom of the headlight lug? i.e. there are 4 of these (018215) to fit?
Where does the rubber seat (018216) go? Inside the chrome steel housing (018215) on the bottom of the headlight lug or does it sit on top of the spring inside the spring cover tube below the bottom fork yoke?
I have checked both the illustrated spares diagram & available photographs but neither are very helpful as far as I am concerned.

Ok you need to be looking at an illustration that shows 1-1/8" forks. The bottom chrome housing ring 018215 ( X2) has the rubber ring inside it and the fork cover with the headlamp bracket (lug) sits into it so when you tighten the upper yolk down it holds the headlamp brakets ( lug) tight. The top cover is part no 010703 and is different to the bottom chrome ring 018215 so you need two. The headlamp bracket tube fits into this.
Hope this makes sense
Thanks

I can understand it but I have had mine apart so I have that advantage. Go to here and find the OWNERS MANUAL for your bike, there is a good clear picture of the 1-1/8" forks so you can see what Steve is talking about
