If I managed, anyone can. Always plenty of good advice on here anyway. Buy a good box, swap it in for the summer, fix the original, swap back and sell on?

Easier said than done, could be waiting years! Take the box out, take it apart (they are really simple boxes).Follow clangers two guides here in this thread http://www.jampot.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=2108756G80S wrote: Buy a good box, swap it in for the summer, fix the original, swap back and sell on?

Hi, yes researching how to do the job, first thought was to find another box to repair and then swap but that looks like it could be a long wait, is it possible to remove cases from the kick-start side and see the condition of the gears from there.

Yes... everything can be seen/taken out from there apart from the main output gear that takes the chain sprocket on the other side. You will also need to remove a nut on the end of the main shaft which is behind that domed housing that holds the clutch actuating arm.red_dog49 wrote:Hi, yes researching how to do the job, first thought was to find another box to repair and then swap but that looks like it could be a long wait, is it possible to remove cases from the kick-start side and see the condition of the gears from there.
