rear wheel bearings

Post by MarkB »

can anyone tell me where I can get a grease gun or end piece to fit in the gap where the rear bearing grease nipple sits on my 59 G3?

Hi

I managed to get an original toolkit grease gun from AMC Classic which easily fits through the hole in the cover plate, however the sealing ability leaves a bit to be desired.

A standard modern grease nipple can be fitted and the modern adaptor just goes through the cover plate so alignment of the plate with the nipple is critical during assembly.

The best option in my opinion and what I use is one of these:

I got a small one that fits nicely from the local garden centre - it's intended for chain saws!!??
