Suspension squeak

Post by Mark Plumpton »

Hi

My G3Ls had had an annoying squeaking front suspension, which has been previously "repaired" any how it has returned, I suspect my cowboy concealed the noise temporarily, I have moved quite some miles from the repairer so going back is not an option really.

Has anyone experienced this issue and how was it resolved

Assuming its the rear suspension and they are Girling type ( not jampots ) then its probably the springs chafing. You will need to remove the shock absorber ( one at a time ) dismantle the shroud and apply ample grease to the spring and inside the shroud.
