I would have thought literature available would cover most of the information required. There are also restoration articles available. What is not up to date is where parts may be sourced, also who offers restoration services of certain parts.

I don't have a G3L and I'm not a Facebook user so can't offer any help but the more information there is about restorations and rebuilds the more it helps others doing the same thing. Sharing experiences can solve a future difficulty for someone else. Good luck with your project.

Hello,

The purpose of my page is certainly not to compete with the Club or Forum (which I enjoy and visit every day). But only to share the story of a motorcycle, a motivation to a new life. Share information in 'French' that we do not find often and make understand that we can do a lot of things without being a specialist. Provide pictures to show what the missing parts look like or how to mount them. Also give the right path to the real specialists who can answer questions and provide the best solutions for a good restoration. Thank you!

I brought a 9 month old 1955 G3LS when I was age 16 Ruddy. It served me well as every day transport getting myself and mates to work. Taking my parents to see their parents and family. Also many tours of over 1,000 miles in England, Scotland and Wales. By the very early 1960's I had a wife and baby so had to sell it and brought a BSA A10 combination. In the 1980's I got another 1955 G3/LS which I still have. Needless to say, I know this model quite well. Having rode one for approx. 200, 000 miles now. I will join your FB page and perhaps be able to answer a few questions along the way restoring your bike. FB will translate French so no problems there.
