Rebuilding a 1956 G3LS. The picture below (taken when stripping down the frame prior to painting) shows a bolt/ washer in the top of the frame - looking down, to the rear of the bike. Simple question, what should be bolted here?

Just the earthing point. That's what I use it for. There's a good pic of it in the 56 manual on page 55. On some later duplex frame singles it's used for the rear tank mounting.

Hi

Isn't there an additional boss for the fuel tank rear mount on duplex singles? The earthing point is still present but unless drilled out and re-threaded far to small to be of use to mount the tank.
