advice regarding removal of Lucas headlamp switch

Post by TRFell »

Any help welcome How to remove headlamp switch from 1957, the switch has visible brass posts which the wires attach to, there are two small semi circular indentations in the bakelite. I wonder if these locate in similar shaped hole in metal headlamp shell?
Does the switch simply pull out from the shell or should it be rotated?
Any help welcome

There should be spring clip which holds it in. Remove that and push it out from underneath. It may have been glued in if the spring's gone missing. The curved bits are to stop it turning.
