Colin at Catmando if you want to buy a ready made harness. Vehicle Wiring Products if you're making your own

Hi

If you are making your own I'd suggest comparing Vehicle Wiring Products prices with those of Auto Electric Supplies:

AES has come out significantly cheaper than VWP in my three restorations.

Colin's (Catmando) harnesses are spot on and it makes it a lot easier for people like me who like mechanics but not electrics.

Thank you Johnny B,

I think Colin's is the way to go for me, otherwise head scratching will lead to premature baldness.

Cheers all!

I did get Colin to add in an extra earth wire from the headlight to the battery and rear light likewise. Improves the lights.

I run a separate earth lead to all main points (headlight, tail light, indicators if any, Dynamo and engine). A few years ago I had a charging problem which was caused by a poor earth - lesson learned! Andy

Yep, forgot I added earth wire to the dynamo and did put them on when I fitted the indicators. I was probably focussed on Colin's looms.

You are not alone.
