Longer connecting rod query
Question regarding the use of long con rods and pistons with gudgeon pins situated nearer the piston crown. I guess the stroke is still 93mm but does anyone know what years they were used please?

From Technical Articles, Single Engines on Jampot.com ...
1947
Conrod shortened by 1/2" and gudgeon pin moved 1/2" lower in piston.
Two start (double capacity) oil pump fitted; two piece guide pin used and timing side axle changed to suit pump.
Timing side roller bearing deleted and plain bush lengthened.
