It is not very clear, but yes it looks like an A above the 4

You contacted me on the Dating site and i asked you for photos of the frame number If you have the Letter A then the person that applied for the age related number plate got it wrong and this will not be an easy fix with the DVLA.

so if there is an A does that make it a 1956 AJS 56/16.
