AFS Club contact

Post by AFSMatchie61 »

Good Morning,
I have read the excellent AFS mini-site you can access from the home page but there's no contact. Is anyone still a focal point for AFS records? I'd be happy to step up if needed.
Cheers

Hi, Please let me know how you get on with this request.
My son has a 54 AFS machine. Found it complete, not a lot of miles, but corroded to hell after sitting for years in a damp environment. Now restored and found a nice warm home.

Hi Roy,
Had to do a double take there. That's machine dating service. Like it was made in 1958, not am 27 like cycling and clubbing at the weekends. :headbang:

A lovely example mate! Can I have his piston? 😀
Thank you for clarifying Roy.

I was it this lot a few years later, It's taken at Bury, Peel Mills,
a few shots with the DR's on the bikes, at the end the column
turns out onto Bolton rd then you see a shot as they join the Rock,
ending up for a good feed in Union Square.
If you managed to break a bike they just gave you a fresh one,
those portable pumps it shows were so called light weight pumps,
someone had a sense of humor even then, they were powered by a
Coventry Climax engine with a magneto ignition and a hand starter,
that engine formed the basis of the Hillman Imp power unit.
