Are all AMC 3 spring clutches the same regardless of model? I need to source a spider, so am wanting to confirm if 043443 is the badger?

There are 2 lengths. 040385 is for 3 plate clutches and is 1 25/32" free length. 040358 is for 5 plate clutches and is 1 11/16" free length.

Thanks Dave but I wasn't very clear.. I have a 3 spring AMC clutch but missing the spider. Are there more than one type of these?

Hi

There are two 'spiders' listed: 043443 for the 650 STD and CSR - 040354 for the rest - if you have the correct five plate clutch installation you will need the 043443 part.

As an aside, the Nordlock washers that Pharasee linked earlier in this thread can be obtained from Grampian Fasteners in Dyce, I'm going to give one a go on my current restoration.

Now there's the question!!

Thanks for confirming, and do let us know how you get on with the washers.
