G80 CS/TCS Engine Plate Cover

Post by RogerNorman »

Anyone out there know what the difference between the standard plate on top of the Engine Plates and the one listed for the Competition machines is. My Typhoon that has been in a state of rebuild for nearly 12 years, without anything to do now in respect of the running of the Club, has suddenly lept forward in the last few weeks and is just about finished however the plate that I have that fits on top of the engine plates I am guessing is the standard one - listed as 024252. It is too long however to fit under the cylindrical toolbox (which uses the same holes for its through bolt that would otherwise hold the pressed in pips on the side to the plate). The one for the G3C/G80CS is listed as 025144 which I am assuming is shorter. Anyone know for sure or even better have one for sale/swap, offer whatever. The bike is a 1960 Twin Downtube model.Text
