Why is the club cheaper than the company that supplies them. If they are and have one I might cancel my order and get one from the club. Knowing my luck I'll cancel the order and the club will have sold the last one! Oh well, I could always start work on the mountain cub!

The club gets a discount from Amal which is greater than our margin needed to cover overheads so the extra is passed on to members.
Amal seem to make complete carbs in "fits and starts" so we don't get continuous supply (neither do any other distributor like Surrey Cycles).
Apparently the original Amal tooling is a bit temperamental hence the unreliable deliveries.

No Roy, it took 48 hours from ordering to delivery and I bought it and installed it two weeks ago.
Suggest you lay off the vino for a while  :headbang:

£172 inc p and p with 1st class signed for next day before 1pm delivery. Jetted and ready to go with a brass slide.
I know I paid a bit more but it was in stock and it ensured that I had the new carb without delay and time to set it up before Poland. so I considered it was worth it.
