ALTON on a G80?

Hello
For some years I have had a 12V conversion on my G80S from 1957(using a LUCAS 3L). It has been OK, but sometimes a bit unstable.
Because I have Boyer ignition on the bike I need to be absolutely sure it works.
Would it be a good idea to convert to an ALTON alternator?
Any expirience? Any other alternators on the market?

I have used the Alton for about 3 years on my G11 with electronic ignition and it works brilliantly
