Passenger Footpeg bosses: want a CAD file for em? I have one

Post by rcousine »

I'm working with a very clever machinist on my rebuild, and so when we encountered a botched repair of a footpeg mount, he insisted we do the right thing: grind off the mess, machine a new mount, get it welded on the frame.

Is there any interest in the CAD files?

Caveats: I'm not interested in milling any more. It is a functionally correct part, suitable for brazing (or plug welding) onto your frame, but not identical-looking to the cast originals (you could file it into a close resemblance, probably). It fit on my frame just fine, it might work for you.

Also, I have no idea how widely used this casting was: I know it from my 1958 AJS 18 CS; I assume the same casting was used on a bunch of AMC bikes and frames.
