1954 was the first year of the full width alloy hub but it was the biscuit tin shape.

Looking at some of your previous pictures I can confirm you have the correct Biscuit tin full width hub.

How do the pilot lights attach to the front forks please.

The threaded part on the sidelight fits through the headlamp bracket, into the headlight and is secured with a nut and spring washer on the inside. A special rubber grommet tidies up the gap between the sidelight and headlamp bracket.
