Difference of wiring harness 58 to 60?

Post by schrottschlecker »

Hello,

I wanted to order a wiring harness for my model 18S, which is actually a G9 dual frame with a 58 drivetrain (alternator, AMC gear box). The club lists a 900564 WIRING LOOM SINGLES 58/59 & 58 and a 900565 WIRING LOOM SINGLES 1960-. The headlamp has integrated speedo, amp and 1 light switch.
Can anyone tell the difference?
How does it look? How is it attached?
Could somebody post a picture of a "naked" frame to see how the harness is attached?

Thanks for your help.

It's possibly to do with the switches, up to ‘59 the ignition and lighting switch were integrated and on the ‘60 models there were two separate ignition and lighting switches. Hence the differences in the looms. Happy New Year.

Hello,

Happy New Year to you as well.
Thanks for the reply. My lamp is the one for 1 switch and amperemeter only, so I might go for the 58 harness.

Thanks and Best Regards,
