Sounds like you need some serious heat applied locally.... oxy-propane, maybe? Get the bottom rail sizzling hot then try to unscrew the stud.clive wrote: As the thread was ruined I tried removing it with a wrench, no movement. I also could not remove the stud so drilled it out of the boss re tapped and fitted new stud easy with the rail in the vice.
