How to align engine- and clutch sprocket?

Hi, I found a small wire ring inserted inside the spider,(at the deep end of the splines) helped with the clutch chain alignment.

once you have the correct nut for the clutch . To tighten it engage top gear and with the rear chain fitted
hold the rear brake pedal down then do the nut up
