Replacing bearing races

Postby markwhitelock » Sat Feb 22, 2020 2:18 pm

I need to replace the bearing races on my G80S, what’s the best way of removing the old ones? To fit the new, is heat and the freezer enough? I don’t have a press...

Hi

Localised heat and sympathetic application of the hammer and punch will remove the old ones - freezing and heat will ease the new ones into place.
