Others I'm sure will already know this but, all these years on, I just wanted to praise the elegance of the design and construction of the half width hub on the rear of my ‘54 G80CS. Total delight to work on and chain adjustment with a spanner on a single snail cam operating both cams via the keyways on the wheel spindle is very clever. Wheel always square to the frame and chain adjustment completed in seconds!

Re: G80CS Rear Hub
If it's anything like the snail cam adjuster on my '54 G3L/S, the right-hand cam bears on head of an adjustment screw. So it will always be "square to the frame" providing it was set up correctly in the first instance. But point taken... It is a very user-friendly system.Iron Head wrote:Wheel always square to the frame and chain adjustment completed in seconds!
