Slipping Kickstart

Hi just seen this. Does the engine turn over if you kick start it with the decompression lever pulled in? Sounds like poor clutch adjustment or weak springs.. or worn friction plates...or the wrong oil! I've almost finished restoring a G2 CSR and had exactly the problem you describe...as a temporary fix I've wound in the springs (but I'll have to get some new springs I guess). All the Best
