1953 G80 Query

Post by bobber »

I'm rebuilding a 1953 G80. There is a bolt with a 1/8 inch thick head that passes through the rear engine plates and rear of the crankcases. Which way around does this bolt go? i.e. should the head of the bolt be on the left (clutch)side of the bike or on the right hand side?

THE HEAD OF THE BOLT SHOULD GO ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE. IT HAS A SMALL HEAD BECAUSE THE OIL PIPES ARE RIGHT NEXT TO IT AND THE SMALL HEAD IS SO YOU CAN THE TURN THE OIL PIPE NUTS.
