Neville , if i asked how fast can you ride at night without lights , the answer would be as fast as me
remember riding back from Dover on way back from Italy without any lights on your bike , you rode so close to my rear light as without out it you could not see anything
Perhaps back roads without lights were not a good idea!

Yep, that was after arriving at Dover at about midnight with 90 miles still to go, having already covered 320 miles that day.
I had to stay close in the wet mist otherwise I couldn't see your P11's rear light in the unlit lanes from more than a couple of yards.
(Next day I found it was just the main feed to the switch deep inside the headlamp shell that had come adrift).
Wonderful adventure all the same.

57mph. Any higher and the skin will peel off your face. It's a fact, a bloke down the pub (before lockdown there was lock in) told me and he should know coz his mate met Barry Sheene when he came off at Daytona and Barry said "Why did I have to go over 57??!!!!!".

Or something like that.
