Hi All
When I stripped my gearbox I found that the nut (11-7-10) which secures the ratchet driving kickstarter (G-21-2) had worked loose.
When I discussed this with a friend of mine he mentioned that they did a modification later to allow for a recess and a tab washer to be fitted between the nut and the ratchet, does anyone know anything about this? If it available I would like to fit to my gearbox
Many thanks in advance
Gary

That's correct, later outer ratchet had a wide groove machined into it. The tab washer was bent over into that groove. Earlier ones were centre popped at 3 places around the thread to stop them coming loose.

The ratchet with the groove is pt number G-21-2 and the tab washer is 12-7-2 (from the 55 parts list)
