I understand your intentions Bernie, but it's usually more practical to obtain your piston first and then work from there. It doesn't matter what the original piston weight was, it's what you can get now that matters. For example your most convenient source of pistons is JP in Adelaide and their pistons are not necessarily the exact weight of the originals. Cheers, BOB

Hi there Aussies
Even when the cranks came out of Plumstead they were pretty poorly balanced compared to the technology available today.

As Robert says, get the piston as available. THEN take the assmbly (not assembled) to a dynamic balancer and let them work their magic. The difference is amazing! Still feels the same but bits don't fall off and the bulbs last forever.
