Someone must be able to explain the 1955 model 20 oil distributor changes, i.e. how and where the oil metering jet was fitted and what was left out.
My problem is that I have all the bits for the engine but this setup and the earlier and later engines I have use the oil distributor 'spinner' on the end of the cam.
Once I work it all out I need to find the bits!

Hi John, just had a chat with an ex AMC engine builder. The metering jet was apparently fitted into an angular tapped hole in the bore occupied by the distributor. His advice is to forget the metering jet and fit the distributor. However it is unclear whether the housing cap is the same one for each situation.

Alan, thankyou. I have the distributor so can fit it. I've also located a jet. Now there's a dilemma!
