I have a basket case 1955 G9 that I am rebuilding . Frame is now powder coated and rebuilt . Engine is minus heads but totally rebuilt with new bearings all round inc crank regrind. loads of incorrect parts so I am now waiting for rear engine plates to arrive , ebay is a god send , before engine fit . I thought I know i'll time it all up then it dawned on me that I don't know if it is clockwise or anti clockwise so looking from the timing gear side which way does it run .

Im Having second thoughts. The two shaft gearbox says it should go the other way. Have to go and have a look. Oh so confused over something that should be so obvious, but not

You mean crankshaft rotation? Anti-clockwise on DRIVE side which translates to clockwise on timing side. (He says twiddling a pen and looking at both ends). Same as wheel in either case...
