Note your ref to paint codes for Matchless - In repainting the tank of my 1960 Matchless G5, I took a sample to my local paint suppliers - In this case CC Paint suppliers at 3 Bridges in Crawley,West Sussex where they made up an aerosol containing a 2 pack paint against a colour card
It should be possible to do the same with a local paint supplier
Note that extreme care is needed with these aerosols in that the item needs to be sprayed in fresh air and a spraying mask should be used - The aerosols made a marvellous job of the respray
