Dear experts,
I am asking on behalf of my father who purchased a AJS america de luxe 1958 (600cc) last year in quite good condition. But in order to get the bike registered as a veteran model in Finland he need to prove that the bike is in original condition. The person who is checking this is claiming the bike should have painted fenders. My fathers bike has chrome fenders. Pictures can be seen in below imgur link.
Does anyone know where we might find a manual or sales brochure for this bike that would show the bike or have detailed description.
Thank you for any assistance
br Jerry

Not sure about the "america de luxe" but to my understanding the 1958 model 30CS came with alloy guards in the US and chrome ones in the UK. The road model would have had painted mudguards. See this for a brochure http://archives.jampot.dk/promotional/S ... ochure.pdf

The bike's seat has Matchless red piping instead of AJS blue, surely if that's acceptable why not the mudguard finish.
